Alyssa M.LC. is a humanities academic at heart who loves a good story filled with romance, adventure, and science fiction. Her art is rooted in storytelling, taking concepts and crafting them in a way that encourages people to stop and look at the world through rose-colored glasses for a moment and relax. Her illustrations are influenced by comics, art nouveau, surrealism and the counterculture of the 1960s and 70s. In general, she takes much of her inspiration from 20th-century film, television, art, and music. In her own words, her creative process can be described as a romp featuring Mad Men-esque businessmen traveling through time and space selling beauty, love, and magic. She hopes you enjoy what you see and feel inspired to support her in her journey as an illustrator through continued sponsorship.
